A new year.
I just wanted to make a quick update to let readers know I haven’t abandoned this site. A combination of work and personal stuff has just been really demanding lately, and consequently, I haven’t come up with anything useful to put here in a while.
I’m struggling to regain the passion I used to bring to coding — the projects I’ve been on lately are more like churning out widgets than doing something cool, and consequently they leave me burned out. Being burned out means less recreational coding, which begins the downward spiral. I’ll snap out of it soon, I promise. In the meantime, suggestions are welcome. :)

metautonomous is the weblog of Ernie Miller, an application developer in the Louisville, Kentucky area who believes that software development should be fun − not just for the developer, but for the users. You can reach him via e-mail
